Energy Performance Certificates - Guide to Measuring Efficiency

Getting a handle of your property's energy use is an important first step to improving the likelihood of getting a sell or a let.

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) must be given in order to build, sell or rent a property. You must provide an EPC for potential buyers and tenants before you market your property. An EPC contains information about the property and recommendations on how to reduce energy use and Carbon Dioxide emissions. An EPC gives your property an energy efficiency rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient) and it lasts for 10 years. You can use the one that you were given when you bought the property, but if you have improved the energy efficient in any way with the current property, getting a new one should pay off considering it will show a better score for energy efficiency and show that your property has lower running costs.

Use Black Horse Property's professional Energy Performance Certificates to get the best guidance to enhance energy efficiency, lower running costs and increase comfort.
